I Didn’t Want to Lose My Channels

I watch a lot of TV, but I actually only have a few favorite TV shows. Most of what I watch, I can take it or leave it. Those few shows are the only reason why I have a subscription to programming. When my local cable company got into a negotiation with one of the channels that airs two of my favorite shows, I got concerned when they said that there could be a blackout. I wanted to get some channel information from a satellite television provider because I had heard that they were not having the same problems that the cable company was having.

I went online to a site that had all of the information I needed about the channels, and I was happy to see that the channels I wanted were not in danger of being shut off or blacked out like they were for the cable company. I contacted their customer service number on the website, because I wanted to make sure that this wasn’t something that was going to happen if I did make the switch to satellite TV. I did not want to switch only to be stuck with the same predicament.

The customer service rep I spoke with was very informative, and she answered not only that question but a few others I didn’t even know I had at the time. By the end of the call, I knew everything I needed to know about DirecTV, and I also knew that I was going to switch because of the perks that were being offered. The channels were on a package that was on the lower end of the packaged tiers, so I would actually save money by making this switch. With the free installation and the free upgrade on the equipment, I knew that I had nothing to lose and everything to gain by making the move to go with DirecTV.
